Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Peter started his first hikes in the nearby Vitosha mountain at the age of 4.
On November 30th, 2016 Peter released his debut album Inspirations. It is a LP record with original jazz music that was inspired by the beauty of the mountains and nature and composed and arranged when on the path in the different mountain ranges of the world. In the album there are 5 original songs and 2 jazz standards in new arrangements. The musicians in the album besides Peter are Dimitar Karamfilov (double bass), Bobby Petrov (drums), Roko Zahariev (trumpet), Antoni Donchev (acoustic piano), Dimitar Liolev (alto sax), Milen Kukosharov (electric piano). Notable journeys and mountain climbs:
2013: Four days alpine adventure in the French Alps and climbing the highest point of the country and the mountain – peak Mon Blanc (4810m) on July 8th via the “Three peaks” route.
2014: 45 days in Nepal enjoying two self-guided mountain treks in the Himalayas – Base Camp Annapurna (4130m) and Everest Base Camp (5364m) and climbing two trekking peaks in the Everest region – Kala Patthar (5550m) and Gokyo Ri (5357m).
Four days alpine adventure in the Italian Alps (the region Monte Rosa) and climbing peaks: Zumsteinspitze (4562m), Punta Gnifetti (4554m), East Lyskamm (4533m), Parrotspitze (4443m), Ludwigshohe (4344m), Corno Nerro (4322m), Piramide Vincent (4215m), Balmenhorn (4167m).
2015: Two months adventure in Peru and Bolivia, climbing the peak Pisco (5752m, Cordillera Blanca, Peru) and the volcanoes Chachani (6057m, Peru), Huayna Potosi (6088m, Bolivia) and Parinacota (6380m, Bolivia).
2016: Three weeks adventure in the Northern Caucasus mountains (Russia) and climbing the highest point of Europe – peak Elbrus (5642m).
2017: Two 10 days adventures in the Southern Caucasus mountains (Georgia) and climbing peak Kazbek (5054m).
Climbing the highest point of the mountain Olympus and the country Greece – peak Mytikas (2917m) through the “Kakoskala” route.
2018: Climbing the highest point of Spain – volcano Teide (3715m, Tenerife, the Canary Islands)
Three months adventure in Latin America – Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico, climbing the peaks Chimborazo (6262m, Ecuador) and volcano Acatenango (3976m, Guatemala).
2019: Three weeks in Central Asia – Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Treks in the mountain Tian Shan and climbing peak Uchitel (4540m).
Attending a full year course for becoming a certified mountain leader (Association Mountains and People).
2020: Becomes a certified mountain leader by the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria and an International Mountain Leader (member of Union of International Mountain Leaders Associations.
2021-2022: Works as a mountain leader in Bulgaria, guiding commercial groups in the regions of Seven Rila Lakes, peak Musala, peak Vihren, peak Cherni vrah, peak Malyovitsa.
2023: Starts the brand Guitar Travels!!! 🙂
